Damascus agrees to partial cease-fire in Aleppo

Syria's UN envoy, Bashar Jaafari, said that the government was ready for partial cease-fire in Aleppo to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid, RIA Novosti reports.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem told his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow that such actions could be taken. Lavrov told US Secretary of State John Kerry about the proposed cease-fire. Kerry said that he was waiting for the opposition to respond to the offer.
