Israel has always maintained neutrality in the Syrian crisis, however the country's official position on the conflict may soon change dramatically, VK correspondent in Israel Pyotr Lyukimson believes.
According to a source in Israeli intelligence, there are now 30 thousand al-Qaeda militants on the Israeli-Syrian border. This means that if the militants launch an attack on Israel the country's authorities will have to change their official position on the crisis.
The source has not specified what exactly will change in Israel's policy, but one can imagine that if Israel starts an anti-terrorist operation on Syrian territory it will be beneficial for the Assad regime and Iran.
