Iranian president offers to be mediator between South and North Korea

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told South Korean Speaker of Parliament Kang Chang-hee that Iran could be a mediator between the South and North Korea, RIA Novosti reports.

Rouhani noted that Iran will fulfill obligations in the nuclear program and urged South Korean business to cooperate.

Kang Chang-hee has been the first South Korean parliamentary official to visit Iran since establishment of diplomatic ties between the two states in 1962.
