Georgian PM visits Israel

Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili is on a visit to Israel. He met Minister of the Interior Gideon Sa’ar, who thanked Garibashvili for lifting the visa regime between Georgia and Iran and informed the PM about the ratification of the visa-free agreement between Georgia and Israel.

Sa’ar thanked Garibashvili for the project on the restoration of Jewish graveyards, synagogues and memorials and for a contribution to the Auschwitz Museum.

The Georgian prime minister’s visit to Israel plays a special role in the context of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s multi-vector foreign policy.

Garibashvili will meet Israeli President Shimon Peres, President Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. He will visit the Yad Vashem Memorial.

Israeli and Georgian Foreign Ministers Avigdor Lieberman and Maya Panjikidze will chair a session of the Israeli-Georgian inter-parliamentary economic commission in the morning of January 28. Lieberman and Panjikidze will conclude the session by signing a memorandum and a protocol.
