Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri have signed a memorandum of understanding and formation of a Supreme Cooperation Council.
Jahangiri told the press that the two countries were planning to increase trade turnover to $30 billion in 2015. He noted that Iran and Turkey had reached a constructive agreement on economic cooperation and expressed hope that a deal on Iranian gas exports to Turkey will soon be reached.
Iranian Minister for Industry Mohammadreza Nematzadeh and Turkish Minister for Economy Nihat Zeybekci signed a memorandum of understanding on preferential trade and a document on the formation of a joint trade commission.
The IRNA (Iran) and Anadolu (Turkey) information agencies signed a cooperation memorandum.
