Armenia should hurry joining Customs Union, deputy minister says

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the Cabinet today that Armenia should not be late joining the Customs Union, News.am reports.

The official clarified that Armenia should conclude the process in 2014 to become part of the Eurasian Union (a merger of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space) by January 1, 2015. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in Moscow on September 3, 2013, that the goal should be accomplished in 2014.

Armenia’s preparations to join the Customs Union should be completed by May.
