Kazakhstan to receive Russia’s S-300 missile systems

Russian Defense Minister, army general Sergey Shoigu, said today that Russia will start shipping S-300 missile systems to Kazakhstan this year, RIA Novosti reports.Most of the few S-300 systems in Kazakhstan protect the airspace around Astana. Kazakhstan uses older missile systems than the S-300 and plans to modernize them.
