Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said that Kazakhstan will receive five divisions of S-300PS missile complexes free of charge, RIA Novosti reports.
The deputy minister noted that the missile will strengthen Kazakhstan and the CSTO missile defenses as a whole.
Antonov added that the visit of Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu to Kazakhstan to make the deal was his first foreign visit in 2014. The official clarified that integration processes will be strengthened in all fields, including defenses.
Antonov emphasized that the biggest concern, in terms of protection of the border, is the situation in Afghanistan after withdrawal of the ISAF.
