Georgia plans to accelerate signing of association agreement with EU

Georgia expects to sign the association agreement with the European Union (EU) as soon as possible and no later than in August of this year, the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said today, RIA Novosti reports.

 

At the summit of the EU Eastern Partnership an Association Agreement with Georgia and Moldova has been initiated. In diplomatic practice, this means preliminary signing of an international treaty, a memorandum of understanding on signing the agreement in the future.
