US Secretary of State John Kerry told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Munich that the main sponsors of the Syrian opposition (Saudi Arabia and Turkey) and the main Syrian ally (Iran) should take part in the Syrian peace talks, Kommersant reports.
The idea is to form a regional format to supplement the Geneva-2 Conference. Russia had proposed the same idea a year ago and has now approved it.
