Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said that Moscow
believes that the mood for the search for a compromise in the Syrian
conflict is there, but there are many complications.
" We very much hope that the Syrian sides will take a new start in the
dialogue and will be looking for difficult compromises to promote the
settlement of the conflict in line with the political and diplomatic stream," RIA
Novosti quotes Lukashevich.
"There are more difficulties than opportunities to find compromises. But,
nevertheless, it's the only way - to sit at the table across from each other
to solve these complex problems. This is the logic of all the Geneva process
and this was the value of the US-Russian initiative to launch an
international conference," the representative of the Foreign Ministry said.
