US passes sanctions against companies cooperating with Iran

The US Treasury has blacklisted some companies of Turkey, Spain, Germany, Georgia, Afghanistan, Lichtenstein, the UAE and Iran for cooperation with Iran, ITAR-TASS reports.Three businessmen in Georgia and eight companies were blacklisted. David Cohen, US Under Secretary of the Treasury, said that the companies and individuals included on the blacklist were helping Iran develop a nuclear program. He reminded that almost all sanctions against Iran were still in force, despite realization of the deal Iran and the six mediators had signed in November 2013.The US has passed restrictions against those who attempted to bypass anti-Iranian sanctions for a second time. Contacts with those on the blacklist will be scrapped, their accounts in US-controlled banks frozen.
