The Russian Foreign Ministry is concerned about the sanctions newly imposed on Iran by the United States. The ministry stresses that the sanctions were extended right before the next round of the international talks concerning the Iranian nuclear programme.
According to Russia, the move may damage the process of a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
