Accounts Chamber to check implementation of "May Decrees"

The head of the Accounts Chamber, Tatiana Golikova, says that today the agency will begin to check the implementation of presidential decrees in the fields of education, science and demography. In 2014, the Accounts Chamber will check the progress of the implementation of the President's "May Decrees " by some ministries and departments.

Besides the execution of decrees, according to Golikova, the auditors will be watching how the state corporation operates the state program. "The
implementation of the Presidential Decrees will be checked for the first time. Prior to that only monitoring was done, but the auditors did not conduct
control inspections of the execution of the "May decrees," ITAR-TASS quotes the head of the Accounts Chamber. Monitoring and outreach events in the subjects of the federation and the federal authorities will also be carried out: the representatives of the Accounts Chamber will see how certain provisions of the presidential decree are implemented locally.

The Accounts Chamber has already agreed on the implementation of large-scale testing of the two decrees concerning the state policy in the field of education and demographics.

Control over the execution of the decree "On the measures for implementing the state policy in the field of education and science," as reported by Golikova, will be carried out in the  federal agencies, responsible for its implementation, as well as in the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow and offices in the Far East, the Urals and Siberia), the Russian Academy of Education, and the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences.

The Russian Foundation for the Humanities, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and a number of universities in the Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod and St.
Petersburg regions will also not avoid inspections. Verification will be selective.

According to Tatyana Golikova, now the areas are being defined, where the verification of the provisions for the decree "On measures to implement the population policy of the Russian Federation" will be held.

In the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Health, the Federal Migration Service and selectively in other federal and regional executive authorities, the implementation of this law will be audited.
