Terrorists attempt to blow up Iraqi Parliamentary Speaker's motorcade

An explosive device has been detonated on the route of the convoy of Iraqi parliamentary speaker Osama al-Nudzheyfi, channel Al-Jazeera reports.

The attack occurred in the city of Mosul in the north of the republic, Itar-Tass reports.

An-Nudzheyfi survived. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
