A group of militants was blockaded into multi-storey houses on Shopentsukov Avenue in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Nalchik, the press-service of the local department of the FSB reports.
At 18.25 Moscow time a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the city. The district next to the scene of the operation was blocked off and gunshots were heard, ITAR-TASS reports.
