President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades and President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Dervis Eroglu have started a new round of talks at the airport of Nicosia, RIA Novosti reports.
The meeting will continue for about an hour. Lisa Battenheim, head of the UN peacekeeping mission on Cyprus, is taking part in the talks and will read the final communiqué.
The document was the stumbling block in 2012 when the negotiations were ruined. Nicosia named the communiqué text as a condition for renewal of peace talks.
The communiqué will have points on the European future of a united Cyprus, the formation of a federal dual-zone and dual-community state. It will be a member of the UN and will have sovereignty like all UN members.
