Russian President Vlaimir Putin has recently said that he is considering meeting his Georgian counterpart Georgy Margelashvili. The Georgian president has already reacted to Putin's statement, saying that he is ready for such a meeting.
Georgian political analyst Iosif Tsiskarishvili says however that one should not overestimate the importance of Putin's remarks.
According to the expert, Putin made such a statement in response to a question asked by a Georgian reporter. It is clear the Russian president was not expecting such a question and his response was more of a polite expression than a reflection of a certain plan, Tsiskarishvili believes.
