Georgia to continue reforms for NATO membership bid

Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili said after a meeting with Knud Bartels, head of the NATO military committee, that the government will do its best to continue its efforts to achieve membership of the Alliance, Trend reports.The sides emphasized value of Georgian-NATO relations, partnership. They noted success of democratic reforms, role of Georgia in the NATO mission in Afghanistan.Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Vakhtang Kapanadze took part in the meeting held at the Georgian state chancellery.
