Russia to present resolution to combat terrorism in Syria at UNRussian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said that Russia will soon introduce a resolution project to combat terrorism in Syria to the UN Security Council, Interfax reports.
According to Gatilov, the document will call for all the necessary actions, consolidation of efforts to withstand the terrorism threat in Syria.
The diplomat reminded that Al Qaeda and many other terrorist organizations were operating in Syria, threatening territorial integrity of the republic and the region as a whole. He believes that the terrorism problem was no less topical than the humanitarian catastrophe.
Gatilov demanded complex efforts to fight terrorism and solve humanitarian problems. The diplomat expects other countries at the UNSC to share the opinion and unite efforts.
