The NATO Military Committee will hold a session in the 28+1 format in Tbilisi today. General Knud Bartels, Chairman of the Committee, arrived in Georgia yesterday, the Georgian Defense Ministry reports.
The sides will discuss transformation of the Georgian defenses and security, further cooperation of the NATO and Georgia and the contribution of Georgia to Euro-Atlantic security.
Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania will meet members of the NATO Military Committee before the start of the session. State Minister for European Integration Aleksi Petriashvili will have an official lunch with the delegation after the session.
The NATO Military Committee is the top-level organ of the Alliance. Tbilisi will host its session for the first time.
