The Russian Federal Migration Service told Mikhail Fedotov, Head of the Presidential Council for Human Rights, that labour migrants in Russia will see no amnesty until 2025, RIA Novosti reports.
The Concept of State Migration Policy has no provisions on migration amnesty until 2025. According to the Federal Service, foreign experience shows negative effects of such amnesty.
According to the bill on amnesty, foreigners caught violating the Russian migration laws will be pardoned. Such violators get 5-year bans from the country at the moment.
