Turkish and Spanish Prime Ministers Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Mariano Rajoy have concluded the fifth governmental summit of Turkey and Spain in Ankara. They discussed defense industry, military, political, commercial and cultural problems, Trend reports.
Rajoy noted that Spain was a friendly state and supported Turkey in its EU membership bid. He added that the states started realization of the Alliance of Civilizations project and continue cooperation in the Mediterranean Sea.
The summit was concluded with signing of a Turkish-Spanish agreement to fight terrorism.
Erdogan said that the increasing trade turnover between the two countries was an indicator of trust and solidarity. He noted that Turkey will build an analogue of Spanish aircraft carrier named Juan Carlos.
