Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Tehran was hoping to strengthen cooperation with the Gulf, Trend reports.
He noted that the Middle East was in a critical situation and formation of new alliances needed regular negotiations. The diplomat added that Iran and Qatar were developing cooperation in many sectors, as stated in Doha at a meeting with Assistant Foreign Minister of Qatar Mohamed Al-Rumaihi.
Abdollahian reminded that Doha had always backed Iran’s right for peaceful nuclear energy. Al-Rumaihi said that both states should expand ties in all fields of economy. He will soon visit Tehran.
