Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said during talks on oil exports in exchange for Russian goods that the two states may reach an agreement on investments in construction of the second block at the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Gazeta.ru reports.
Iran may pay for construction of the facility with oil.
Russia and Iran were discussing exchange of 500,000 barrels of Iranian oil (about 25 million tons a year) in exchange for Russian equipment.
According to the CIA World Factbook, the volume of oil extracted in Iran daily is 4.231 million barrels. It means that Russia will buy about 12% of it.
