Yevgeny Anisimov, Head of the Baikonur Cosmodrome and Director of the Yuzhny Space Center, has been dismissed, says spokesman of Roscosmos Head Oleg Ostapenko, Irina Zubareva, Kommersant reports.
Anisimov was dismissed for his inability to get along with the team. He is a close friend of Alexander Fadeyev, ex-Head of COSGBI dismissed for disagreements with Roscosmos head in December 2013.
Mikhail Vardanyan, head of the Space Systems for Monitoring, Information Control and Electromechanical Complexes of Iosifyan, is considered the most likely successor of Anisimov.
