Georgia and Azerbaijan are developing a shared information system for their customs offices, according to Vakhtang Lashkaradze, Head of the Center for Information Technologies of the Income Service of the Georgian Ministry for Finances, Georgia Online reports.
The Center is cooperating with the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee. They tested a system for exchange of information on imports and exports at the Krasny Most customs office.
80% of data has been unified.
Azerbaijan and Georgia have six customs offices controlled by the Balaken and Tovus Customs Directorates: Sadykhly, Synyg Kerpyu, Jandargel, Mazymchay, Muganly and Beyuk Kyasik.
