The issue of establishing a Turkish military base on Azerbaijani territory is under discussion but consensus has not yet been reached, declared the deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Araz Asimov, Interfax reports.
Mr Azimov stated that the settlement question depends on the readiness of Turkey and the intentions of Azerbaijan. He also mentioned that Turkey and Azerbaijan have always had friendly relations and are partners in strategic matters, so all the conditions for signing a treaty on establishment of a military base on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are in place.
