Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov is on a two-day visit to South Ossetia. Surkov inspected the Dzau District with South Ossetian Acting Prime Minister Domenti Kulumbegov and observed the construction of the local administration and the central hospital, the South Ossetian government reports.
They visited the Severny Microdistrict where four multi-storey houses are under construction.
Surkov met Acting Vice Prime Minister Alla Jioyeva in the evening and discussed housing construction, healthcare, education, culture, youth policy, sports, protection of consumer rights. He met South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and discussed restoration of the republic and realization of investment programs for socio-economic development in 2014.
Surkov will attend a council for socio-economic development and meet authorities of the republic.
