At today's joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze, the EU Commissioner for Energy, Gunther Oettinger said that Georgia will join the Energy Association of Europe" for six to eight months.
He noted that membership in the association implies certain obligations as well as clearly stated benefits.
Oettinger is also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Economy and the State Minister for European integration of the country in Georgia. The visit of the European Commissioner ends tomorrow, February 21.
