Ukrainian political analyst Alexei Voronenko comments on the events for VK.Voronenko believes that the decision of the Ivano-Frankivsk RegionalCouncil is not such an important event, since it does not have anypolitical influence. He stressed that burning records of arrests andconvictions as well as the lynching of authorities which took place yesterday will have a much bigger political impact on the country.Regarding the resignation of Vladimir Makeyenko from the party, the expert believes that the mayor did not have a chance. He also stressed that it does not mean that the mayor is in opposition to the currentauthorities.The analyst said that the attack on the Russian Consulate in Lvov was the result of actions of European politicians who had encouraged, in particular, the dismantling of a monument to Lenin and who facilitate the radicalization of protests.
