Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili told the parliament in his annual report that a new format of talks with Russia had been initiated, ITAR-TASS reports.
The format consists of economic and cultural contacts where the two states have achieved dertain progress.
Zurab Abashidze, Special Envoy of the Georgian PM, and Grigory Karasin, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, met on Geneva outskirts in December 2012. The next meeting will be held in early March 2014 to discuss cooperation in trade, economy, culture and the humanitarian sector.
