On February 23 Russia is celebrating Defender of the Fatherland Day, a Soviet holiday established to honour current, former and future servicemen. On this occasion festive activities are going to be held all over the country.
Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu has already congratuled Russian soldiers and officers on the holiday.
"This holiday celebrates the heroic history of the state, the unity of the army and people, the courage and patriotism of the Russian nation," the minister said.
