225 members of the lower house of the Russian parliament will be expected via party lists and 225 according to single-mandate constituencies. President Vladimir Putin signed the law to adopt the vote system.
The concept of the law was introduced to the lower house in spring 2013. The Federation Council approved the document on February 19, 2014.
The lower house will have elections in 2016.
