Sergey Naryshkin, Speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, is on a visit to Israel to discuss inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation in economy and humanitarian sector, ITAR-TASS reports.
Naryshkin will arrive at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. He will visit Netanya tp lay flowers at the Memorial of Victory of the Red Army over Germany. Naryshkin will meet veterans, host a round-table conference with Israeli historians and public officials. He will meet Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in Jerusalem in the evening.
The speaker of parliament will meet President Shimon Peres at his residence in Jerusalem, Israeli Speaker of parliament Yuli-Yoel Edelstein at the Knesset.
Naryshkin will visit Ramallah on the West Bank of Jordan and meet President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
Naryshkin will visit Turkey tomorrow.
