The new Ukraine will be anti-Russian, similar to what was happening during the reign of Yushchenko, said Alexey Pushkov, Head of the Russian parliament committee for international affairs, RIA Novosti reports.The Ukrainian parliament broke the deal between President Victor Yanukovych and opposition leaders, restored the 2004 Constitution without the president’s signature on February 22. It replaced the speaker of parliament, interior minister and some other ministers, prosecutor general. Presidential elections were set for May 25. Speaker Alexander Turchinov has become the Acting President.Yanukovych said that he was still the president and was not planning resignation. He called the events in the country a coup and actions of the parliament illegal.
