The Federation Council of Russia has decided to form a commission consisting of senators from areas bordering with Ukraine to monitor the situation in the crisis-struck country, RIA Novosti reports.
Senator Vladimir Dolgikh proposed formation of the commission. He urged his colleagues to evaluate the events in Ukraine and analyze efficiency of the Russian embassy, CIS secretariat and FSB.
Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko approved the project and recommended senators of areas bordering with Ukraine to be part of the commission.
