Investigation of Georgian ex-Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania’s death in February 2005 have been concluded but prosecutors are not hasty to give details because ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili is allegedly involved in the murder, Interfax reports.
According to the source, Zhvania was killed at the Shavnabada Presidential Residence on Tbilisi outskirts. Saakashvili and Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili were allegedly watching the murder. The body was taken to a secret apartment in Tbilisi in a TV box to stage death from gas leakage. There is an audio record where Saakashvili can be heard saying “Now take this corpse and do as we agreed on.”
The Chief Prosecutor’s Office said that the investigation was not over yet.
Saakashvili said live in Kiev that he missed Georgia but he had had to move to the US for certain reasons.
