Kazakh MP Nikolai Logutov urged the parliament to ban Russian Vice Speaker of Parliament Vladimir Zhirinovsky and opposition member Eduard Limonov for unfriendly statements addressed to Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti reports.
Logutov said that Zhirinovsky was infringing the sovereignty and independence of Kazakhstan. Heads of three parliamentary fractions of the Kazakh parliament signed Logutov’s letter.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky said at a meeting on February 23 that all Central Asian states should be deprived of their independence. Euard Limonov said on Facebook that Russia should use the disorders in Ukraine and currency devaluation in Kazakhstan to annex part of the Ukrainian and northern territories of Kazakhstan.
Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mikhail Bocharnikov replied, commenting on Limonov's idea, that Moscow will not react to declarations of outcasts in social networks. No reaction has been seen concerning Zhirinovsky.
