Nato's Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen says Ukraine is welcome to seek membership in the body. Nato is Ukraine's "sincere friend," the Nato chief said today in Brussels, where he arrived in order to take part in the coming meeting of the defence ministers of Nato's member-states.
"We are going to discuss the situation in Ukraine. We support political dialogue and urge all parties to remain discreet," the secretary general is quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS.
