Ukrainian interior minister condemns Russia for invading Crimea

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has accused Russia of occupying the Ukrainian territory of Crimea. On his Facebook page, the minister said that Belbek Sevastopol International Airport was occupied by Russian troops, trapping Ukrainian soldiers and border guards inside.About 100 people calling themselves the Cossack Hundred entered the airport at about 12.00AM. They were pushed out of the territory by the police at about 1.00AM. No weapons were used. 119 soldiers identified as Russians entered the airport at about 1.30AM, according to the minister. Avakov added that the police did not have enough force to resist the occupation.The minister characterized the interference as an invasion and occupation and a violation of international law. He said that diplomats should resolve the incident.
