Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmoud Mamedguliyev said that Azerbaijan was planning to sign readmission agreements with Norway and Switzerland, similar to the one signed with the EU in Brussels today, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan and the EU signed an agreement at the EU Vilnius summit in November 2013 to simplify the visa regime. This makes signing such agreements with every EU member unnecessary.
Norway and Switzerland were part of the Schengen Area. They plan to sign the agreements with Azerbaijan. Mamedguliyev reminded that the European Parliament and the Azerbaijani parliament needed to ratify the documents. They will do it in about a month.
