Former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko said in a statement published on her personal website that “Ukraine and the world must act immediately and consistently to stop an unprecedented display of aggression by Russia and preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the Kyiv Post reports.
Tymoshenko said that “Russia has just made another attempt to scare Ukraine with loud statements and decisions about the war.”
The former head of the Ukrainian cabinet stressed that Ukraine is a peaceful country, but said that if Ukraine accepts the ultimatum, the country may lose its sovereignty.
Tymoshenko also said Russia wants to play the Abkhazia and South Ossetia scenario, which must be stopped.
