Tbilisi has opened an experimental center for Georgian-Russian relations consisting of experts from both states, according to Alexander Rusetsky, a member of the center’s executive council, Trend reports.
Zaza Abadhize has been appointed as head of the center. The Gorchakov Foundation will be its donor.
The center will focus on the development of cultural, scientific and expert ties. It will make recommendations for state structures and the development of cultural relations. There will be a project to exchange journalists; Russian journalists will visit Tbilisi and Georgian journalists will visit Moscow.
A conference on Georgian-Russian relations will be held in Tbilisi on March 3-4 and experts from both countries will attend.
The meeting will be organised by the Russian Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, the Gorchakov Foundation and the Russian-Georgian Public Center.
