Nazarbayev appoints ambassador to South Africa

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a decree on the appointment of Talgat Gabdullovich Kaliyev as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of South Africa.


Talgat Kaliev graduated from the Kazakh State University named after Sergei Kirov in 1986. He holds a Ph.D. in History. Over the years he has worked in the Academy of Sciences (Institute of the Labor Movement and Comparative Political Sciences)  (1987-1992); he was also a senior fellow at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (1992-1993), Trend reports.
