The Council of Europe (CE) will appoint a new co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan, as Andreas Herkel's tenure comes to the end, reports Trend, citing Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Vice President Samad Seyidov.
PACE will approve the candidature of a new co-rapporteur after the June session, Seyidov said. According to the PACE official, a new co-rapporteur has not yet been nominated. "This issue falls to the competency of the assembly. For us, the main thing is for the new co-reporter to perform his duties at the highest level," he said.
