Dagestan offers refuge for Crimeans

Dagestani Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov offered Crimea material aid and refuge, Interfax-South reports.


He added that Dagestan had schools for children and teenagers from Crimea.


Abdulatipov approved initiatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin to protect the Russian population in Ukraine. Over 30,000 Russians live in Ukraine. He said that nationalists and extremists had been attacking the population of Ukraine in the past months.


The Dagestani leader said that the republic was collecting humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
