Russian President Vladimir Putin today informed journalists that there was no need to deploy forces in Ukraine. He denied that there was a concurrence of military drills in the Western Military District and the situation in Ukraine, adding that the forces were ordered to return to their locations yesterday.
Putin promised to protect citizens in the East and South of Ukraine. He called the actions of Russia in Crimea justified and timely.
Commenting on the market crash yesterday, the Russian president called it a common tendency that had nothing to do with Ukraine.
