Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said that G8 states were considering a G7 summit, outcasting Russia from the G8 in a couple of weeks, Gazeta.ru reports.
Harper confirmed talks with US President Barack Obama about it last weekend.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said yesterday that the country was preparing for the G8 summit.
