Turkey fears interethnic clashes in Crimea

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the safety of Crimean Tatars in Ukraine was constantly monitored by Ankara. He expressed fears of interethnic clashes in Crimea, Trend reports.Davutoglu reminded that the problem will be discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Rome on March 6. The Turkish minister has already met officials of the association of Crimean Tatars.According to Davutoglu, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had ordered all the necessary measures to be taken in the light of the events in Crimea. He added that all the details of the issue had been discussed at a meeting lasting for over 3 hours.
